So in my house, I don't really buy too many sweets as in candy. I've always told my kids fruit is candy (because the way it hypes them up, it is). I do like to make "treats" 1-2 times a week. I'll show other things I like to make here too!
Here's how I made them a candy like treat, I mean it's sweet, nutty & chocolatey... so, candy, right?
First I sliced two bananas down the middle, into fourths. Sorta, like a boat.
I then spread creamy peanut butter on top.
After the peanut butter, I sprinkled sliced almonds over the peanut butter. You can use whatever nuts you like but I find these are easy for smaller children to chew.
Last, I melted half a bag of dark chocolate chips. You can roll the bananas in chocolate but I found drizzling the chocolate over them made the nuts stay in place.
Put in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours and enjoy! These can last in your refrigerator for 3-4 days. I put into a baggies and use for desert or snack throughout the week.
